                                    64 SUPERINTENDENT ANNUAL REPORT1STUDENT-FOCUSED CULTUREObjective 1: Increase student voice and choice in educational experiencesSUPERINTENDENT%u2019S STUDENT ADVISORY COMMITTEEThe Superintendent%u2019s Student Advisory Committee (SSAC) collects feedback from students in grades 10 through 12. Serving as a formal platform, the SSAC facilitates meaningful dialogue among students, the superintendent, District leadership, and the Palm Beach County School Board. Committee members serve as collaborative partners, using their unique perspectives to help shape District decisions and strategic initiatives.The SSAC served a fundamental role in strategic improvement. Through quarterly meetings and collabora,tion with District departments, members led problem-solving efforts across several crucial areas:%u2022 Supporting student well-being%u2022 Expanding choice options%u2022 Championing college and career readiness%u2022 Strengthening support systems%u2022 Refining communicationIn partnership with the Student Voice Councils, the SSAC connects campuses with the highest levels of leadership. Peer input enables the SSAC to amplify the collective student experience and develop a unified system of representation.Student leaders also drove change at high-impact community events. Attendees served as facilitators at the FutureMakers Forum, sharing peer-driven solutions for leadership and school connectedness. Participants also served as powerful advocates at District forums, directing conversations on mental health, engagement, and access to educational opportunities. A keynote message on resiliency and community connection was delivered at the Mental Health and Wellness Conference.The SSAC affirms the District%u2019s deep commitment to responsive and inclusive leadership. Embedding student voices in decision-making empowers high schoolers to become active architects of their educational journeys and future success throughout Palm Beach County.
