● Fixed display on the teaching wall. Existing classrooms feature an LCD projector and
retractable projector screen mounted on the teaching wall. New construction classrooms
feature a fixed- mounted interactive flat panel display. These configurations allow the
teacher to lead instruction from the front of the classroom and present content to large
groups.
● Mobile, height-adjustable interactive flat
panel. A mobile interactive flat panel
display mounted on a height-adjustable
cart allows teachers and learners total
flexibility in room setup and usage. This
display allows the user to interact with
the content being presented using touch
input in a form that is native to today’s
students.
● Sound-field enhancement. All media
centers and classrooms comprising at
least 600 square feet are outfitted with
microphones and speakers that
significantly enhance the sound quality
and reliability of the transmission of the
teacher's voice. Sound-field
enhancement systems also provide a
front-row listening experience for
amplified audio playback of connected
multimedia devices to create equitable
learning environments to ensure that
every student can hear.
● Document camera. Document cameras
allow teachers to display manipulatives
or interact with and annotate printed
content from any teaching device in the room.
● Webcam. With audio and video capture, teachers can record their lessons. Classrooms can
also connect with one another using online meeting platforms. Students can also have
two-way visual communication with subject matter experts such as authors, scientists, and
industry experts.
