Provide Efficient Technology Tools

               The integration of technology tools and software applications to plan for and deliver measurably
               effective instruction depends on integrated technology infrastructure. It is essential that teachers
               are provided easy access to the tools, training, resources, and support needed to deliver
               meaningful, impactful, and efficient instruction in the modern classroom.

               The Integrated Technology Infrastructure and Technology Tools include:


                   ●   Reliable high-speed wired and wireless Internet in all instructional spaces.
                   ●   Continually refreshed and updated Interactive Classroom hardware for standard classrooms
                       includes:
                          ○   Audio Enhancement system
                          ○   document camera
                          ○   SMART interactive display
                          ○   classroom projector
                          ○   webcam
                          ○   modern teacher computing station
                          ○   1:1 student to device ratio
                   ●   Consolidated access to key instructional and non-instructional applications and services via
                       an employee portal, district, and school websites.
                   ●   A comprehensive online suite of productivity tools that may be accessed 24/7 from anywhere
                       with an internet connection. Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft Office 365, and
                       Creative Cloud Express (Adobe) currently fill this need.
                   ●   Digital classroom management software.
                   ●   Secure and managed local and cloud file storage via Google and Microsoft.
                   ●   Video conferencing services and applications for online collaboration such as Google Meet
                       and Google Workspace for Education applications.
                   ●   Cloud-based creative applications integrated with Google Drive.
                   ●   Software for digitally capturing, editing, and storing video, documents, and images.
                   ●   Google Classroom that allows for posting of assignments, a calendar of events, and an
                       online instructional space where teachers may provide students the ability to upload
                       completed assignments, receive feedback, and communicate with teachers and/or peers.
                   ●   Acceptance into the Google for Education Reference District Program. This distinction
                       recognizes the district is doing exemplary work using Google tools, joining a select group of
                       innovative districts and independent schools.
                   ●   Comprehensive student performance data reports and applications for monitoring and
                       reporting progress toward meeting grade-level expectations.
                   ●   A comprehensive Student Information System (SIS) for collecting and reporting attendance,
                       and inputting, calculating, and storing grades.


               Digital Resources & High-Quality Digital Curriculum
               SDPBC will use technology to help connect teachers and learners with the highest quality
               “Standards-Based Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum" to guarantee effective and relevant
               instruction and to meet the needs of all students. Teachers will have ready access to a curated
               and searchable digital library of instructional materials that they can actively incorporate into
               their lessons.
