Increasingly, students are provided with digitally rich instruction and diverse learning pathways
using Google Classroom to access the resources provided by their teachers and the district.
The new integrations and data pathways can allow students to choose their own individual
learning pathways with the guidance and support of teachers.

Promoting Effective Assessments & Making Connections Using Data
SDPBC students and teachers are expected to demonstrate effectiveness and learning gains in
their classes and are provided with many forms of support and assessments to use strategically
throughout the year. Ultimately, students will demonstrate competency through classwork,
formative, summative, and diagnostic assessments including Computer-Based Testing (CBT),
career and industry certifications, and other project-based digital and multimedia digital learning
outcomes. Each method contributes to the overall picture of student success and can provide
               invaluable student data.
Individual student performance data is a major contributor to a truly personalized learning
experience and has become integral and vital in effective planning and instruction for
administrators, teachers, and learners. SDPBC has invested heavily in tools and training to help
educators become increasingly aware of their student's performance levels and adapt their
instruction accordingly. The continuing addition of adaptive software solutions allows for easier
technology utilization to directly help in developing personalized learning paths for the students
as well. The cumulative outcome of these investments and additions is more efficiency for our
teachers and increased student ownership of their learning outcomes. Teachers can more easily
identify individual student needs, share the data with students and guardians, and connect them
with even more of the specific resources and support that will be most appropriate for their
               individual students' performance levels.

Provide Technology Integration Training and Support
Before teachers can integrate technology in their classrooms effectively, they need high-quality
training on how to incorporate new pedagogical approaches and strategies using technology.

Technology Integration Training and Support includes:
                   ● Face-to-face or online synchronous/asynchronous professional learning opportunities to
build knowledge on technology tools, software applications, and understand best
practices for integrating the tool/app into teaching and learning effectively.
                   ● Leverage the expertise of teacher leaders and peer-led professional learning, such as
                       Trailblazers.
                   ● Deliver student and staff training on digital citizenship topics through the district’s
                       TechSafe Program.
                   ● A robust library of district-created and curated online training modules so staff may
                       receive just-in-time training from EdTechTraining.palmbeachschools.org and/or
                       https://www.youtube.com/c/EdTechTrainingTeam/videos.
                   ● Examine practices and educational technology tools that will allow students to be
immersed in learning experiences that are rich in communication, collaboration, critical
                       thinking, and creativity.
                   ● Support teachers in using edtech tools to apply best practices that engage students for
                       greater learning.
                   ● Assist students and families with the use of edtech tools to enhance district-supported
                       technology for learning at home.

As we prepare students for the kinds of collaborative work they will do in the future workforce,
our students will use many productivity and creative tools extensively. Utilization of cloud-based
