WPTF Support





        Wellness Promotion Task Force Funds



        Since FY17, the  Wellness  Promotion  Task Force (WPTF) funds have supported many difference
        wellness/health  initiatives and  efforts in the District, thanks to the generous  donation of a donor.

        In FY22, the Task Force funded the following initiatives:

               ● 10th Annual KidsFit Jamathon event in which the WPTF team also participated as judges.
               ● Risk and Benefits Management Department – sponsored Employee Wellness initiatives:
                  o  RISE (Resilience in School Environments) schools – supported with four (4) Relaxation Rooms.
                  o  West Palm Beach Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run.
               ● 7th Annual Heroes for Education Run/Walk – sponsored two initiatives:
                  o  Heroes Awards – (4) Top Participating Schools (Clifford O. Taylor/Kirklane Elementary, Polo Park
                      Middle, John I Leonard High, and Royal Palm School)
                  o  Five (5) student registrations support for Grove Park Elementary.
               ● Extended Learning (Afterschool Programs) Department – sponsored three initiatives:
                  o  Inclusion of  Digital Vibez,  Inc. events in three (3) selected elementary school to increase
                      students’ physical activity and well-being at Highland Elementary, Egret Lake Elementary, and
                      J.C. Mitchell Elementary.
               ● 2021 Green Schools Community Mini-Grants Awards:
                  o  Meditation Garden at Crossroads Academy – created a relaxed and tranquil area that included
                      drought-tolerant plants and a solar fountain where students practiced their Social Emotional
                      Leaning (SEL) skills and connected with school counselors to promote mental health and overall
                      well-being.
                  o  Pre-K Community Garden at Royal Palm School – funds provided two raised garden beds, soil, and
                      vegetable seeds to expand outdoor campus green area.  In FY22, this garden was utilized by
                      twenty-four classrooms for educational lessons.
               ● Environmental & Conservation Services (ECS) Department:
                  o  Sponsored the Acreage Pines Elementary Nature Preserve Trail signage.
               ● Safe Schools Department:
                  o  Mindfulness wellness session that offered to the Attendance/Re-Engagement  Team.   The
                      session provided participants a journey of self-discovery and inner exploration that included
                      Sound Bath healing modalities.
