        Latest Revisions to the Policy Include:
               Š Consolidated the previous Wellness Promotion Policy and the Goals and Objectives into one streamlined
               policy.
               Š Aligned with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Whole School, Whole Community,
               Whole Child (WSCC) Model.
               Š Changed language from “should” to “must” where feasible or where required by law, such as recess
               requirements.
               Š Added items from multiple Departments to increase our wellness culture throughout the District.

        Leadership - District and School Level
               Š Wellness Promotion Task Force (WPTF).
               Š Wellness Promotion Collaboration Team (WPCT).
               Š Healthy School Teams (HST) are established to ensure schools remain in compliance with Smart Snacks
               legislation and to support this policy.

        Evaluation and Measurements
               Š Triennial Progress Assessment (annually)
               Š Urban School Wellness Advisory Board:
                ¾   2015-20SY District’s Wellness Promotion Policy WellSAT score ranked 3rd highest among 10 Urban
                    School Districts.
                ¾   2019-20SY District’s Wellness Promotion Policy WellSAT score tied 2nd highest among 17 Urban
                    School Districts.

        Informing the Public
               •  Provide Wellness Promotion Policy information and updates to students, parents, and staff, and the
                community-at-large, as applicable.
