We applaud your work! The comprehensiveness and strength of the PBC wellness policy is very impressive. In
particular, a sample of your policy highlights includes:
• Integrating nutrition education into other subjects, such as mathematics
• Taking steps at the district level to protect the privacy of students qualifying for free or reduced lunch
• Providing free, potable drinking water to students during mealtime and throughout the school day
• Addressing qualifications and continued education training for physical education teachers
• Addressing neither using nor withholding physical activity as a punishment
