School PSychological ServiceS consists of a team of approximately 130 school psychologists
who provide a broad range of comprehensive and integrated services within a Multi-Tiered System of Support
(MTSS) to meet the needs of students, schools and families. Through direct student support and ongoing
consultation and collaboration with teachers, families, and other school-based mental health professionals,
school psychologists apply expertise in learning, behavior, and mental health to provide a continuum of
services to support improved student outcomes. School psychologists are uniquely qualified members of
school teams who provide services in the areas of data collection and analysis, psychological assessment
and evaluation, progress monitoring, identification of resilience and risk factors, development of academic,
behavior and mental health interventions, prevention and intervention services, special education services,
and mental health crisis support.
Students Assessment and Evaluation
School psychologists provide expertise in student assessment and evaluation to help inform educational
decisions for students and to guide service delivery for students in need of individual, group or school-wide
services. Using a collaborative problem-solving framework, school psychologists work with school teams to
help plan and implement academic, behavioral and mental health interventions and support for students.
School psychologists also strive to provide responsive and timely service delivery for all students. Over the
course of the previous three school years, school psychologists increased the percentage of initial individual
student evaluations completed within 60 days from 93.66 percent to 98.54 percent.
