Commitment to garden-based education was strengthened through impactful activities and hands-on student engagement.Hands-On Learning%u2022 Enhanced Curriculum: Developed 25 standards-aligned, garden-based lessons for K%u201312 students, covering topics such as plant biology, genetics, sustainability, and life sciences. These lessons feature engaging, hands-on components and are supported by tailored materials and teacher training.%u2022 Elevated Teacher Resources: Continued promotion of lessons, grants, and outdoor learning via Google Classroom increasing educator accessibility and engagement.Innovative Practices & PartnershipsSchools were supported in adopting cutting-edge garden techniques and forged key partnerships:%u2022 Next-Generation Gardening: Conducted site visits and supported schools implementing innovative practices like aquaponics and hydroponics, including tours and vendor meetings with Fork Farms and Farm-Ed.%u2022 Sustainable Systems: Continued review and implementation of indoor hydroponic systems, offering sustainable, space-saving options for schools.%u2022 Food Forests: Facilitated the installation of a Food Forest in April 2025 at Sandpiper Shores Elementary, funded by the organization 2Day4Tomorrow. Identified additional outside funding to underwrite the installation of an irrigation system to support the Food Forest.Professional Development & CollaborationA strong collaborative network was fostered to ensure program sustainability:%u2022 Team Building: Hosted a successful Garden Collaboration Team Retreat focusing on systems thinking at Mounts Botanical Garden on November 15, 2024.%u2022 Teacher Training: Scheduled a Tower Garden training for 50 teachers on July 30, 2025 at SouthTech Academy, generously sponsored by Whole Foods and Sprouts.%u2022 Sustained Connections: Maintained strong relationships with educators, District leaders, and industry partners, boosting the relevance and longevity of our school gardens.Planting the Food Forest at Sandpiper Shores ElementaryPhysical Environment
