82 FY25 Wellness Promotion Policy (WPP) Annual Report Back to MenuMulti-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is an evidence-based model of schooling that has shown remarkable results. It uses data-based problem-solving to integrate academic, behavioral, and social-emotional instruction and intervention. These integrated instructions and interventions are delivered at varying tiers based on student needs. This needs-driven decision-making ensures that resources are allocated appropriately and matched to students at the right levels, resulting in an acceleration of all students%u2019 performance to achieve or exceed proficiency. The problem-solving process is facilitated by school-based teams. These multi-disciplinary teams are identified at each school within the District and meet regularly in order to identify and remove barriers to student learning. In FY25, ongoing administrative needs assessments and an expanded MTSS team has allowed strategic problemsolving, capacity building, and coaching to occur at comprehensive campuses and charter schools districtwide. Capacity building has taken place through district professional learning on problem-solving processes, progress monitoring, and systems for MTSS success. During FY25, over 70 needs assessments with principals were conducted which led to 47 individualized professional learning and coaching sessions on school campuses. These individualized supports have allowed schools to prioritize creating systematic MTSS frameworks and identify school-specific needs to help support integrated instruction and intervention. MTSS Team members participated in 1,151 direct support sessions at all comprehensive campuses and charter schools throughout the course of the school year including direct coaching and training, technical assistance, needs assessments, and other direct school-based support. In FY25, the Florida Problem Solving/Response to Intervention Project (PS/RtI) proudly recognized 12 district schools as MTSS Recognized Schools for FY24, a testament to their dedication and hard work. The two schools in Palm Beach County were two of three schools recognized state-wide as MTSS Recognized Schools. %u25cf Morikami Park Elementary%u25cf Pierce Hammock ElementaryMulti-Tiered System of SupportsPositive & Supportive Climate
