86 FY25 Wellness Promotion Policy (WPP) Annual Report Back to MenuTobacco Prevention ProgramThe Tobacco Prevention Program is dedicated to promoting student success by aggressively addressing substance misuse among youth in Florida. Our program has made a significant impact on students through substance misuse education provided via our infraction courses. Additionally, implementing these courses as an alternative to suspension has saved instructional hours. These infraction courses have proven to be an effective behavior intervention strategy in over 113 schools across The School District of Palm Beach County.Course OfferingsStudent CoursesThe Tobacco Prevention Program provides alternative-to-suspension courses to support elementary, middle, and high school students who have discipline infractions related to alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs. These courses aim to educate students about the health effects of tobacco, nicotine, and vaping.
