78 FY25 Wellness Promotion Policy (WPP) Annual Report Back to MenuMcKinney-Vento Program (MVP) - HomelessnessThe McKinney-Vento Program (MVP), the District%u2019s Homeless Education Program, consists of a Program Planner, an Instructional Support Specialist, and MVP Case Managers. The MVP team supports homeless children and youth throughout the District, including unaccompanied homeless youth, while upholding the educational rights provided by the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. The MVP removes or overcomes the barriers and obstacles often faced by homeless children and youth in enrolling, attending, and succeeding at the school, district, and community levels. Program staff work collaboratively with schools, district departments, and community social service agencies to maximize access to various educational, social, and enrichment programs essential for promoting the academic success and achievement of homeless children and youth.
