                                     97Health ServicesThe Department of Extended Learning (Afterschool Programming) has contracted with District approved nursing agencies to manage the training and supervision of afterschool site staff responsible for medically involved students. This ensures comprehensive coverage of all medically involved students enrolled in afterschool programs, as well as winter, spring, and summer camps.School staff members received annual training to deliver specific school health services under the guidance of licensed health professionals. These programs contribute to a safer school environment and enable immediate emergency responses:%u2022 First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator Training (AED): Certification is provided for all designated emergency team responders, student healthcare providers, and health room designees who allocated nursing services to students with and without ESE/504 accommodations. %u2022 Health Room Designee/Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Training: Offered online education and health information as an adjunct to student-specific health services training provided by school nurse. %u2022 Immunization and Medical Records Management: Updated information on state immunization requirements and routine physical examinations, along with guidance on health records management and documentation. %u2022 Seizure Training for School Personnel: Provided interactive online education through the Epilepsy Foundation for staff caring for students with epilepsy or seizure disorder, supplementing student-specific training on an Individualized Seizure Action Plan (ISAP) or Emergency Care Plan (ECP) for staff regularly interacting with these students.Health Services Staff TrainingExtended Learning Nursing Contracts
