The Multiagency Network for Students
with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities

The Multiagency Network for Students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (SEDNET) creates and facilitates a network of key stakeholders committed to assisting in the provision of a quality system of care for children with, or at-risk of, emotional/behavioral disabilities (EB/D) and their families.

Interagency collaborations and efforts to link agencies is one of the primary roles that SEDNET holds in the community. Educational, juvenile justice and child welfare professionals all collaborate with SEDNET via interagency agreements and committees. SEDNET also works closely with The School District of Palm Beach County’s Foster Care Liaison to support her efforts with school placements and transportation.

SEDNET collaborates with other agencies and other professionals to provide training within the School District and for community organizations in various areas, to include trainings for families, educators and community partners. This year, SEDNET facilitated training for the Palm Beach County Youth Services Department and for the Guardian At Litem Program in the county. SEDNET also presented for other SEDNET Project Managers across the state.

SEDNET participated and assisted in various activities across the county and the state to include the Very Special Science Fair and LD Stars Conference both held spring 2015. SEDNET Region 9 assisted the SEDNET Administrative Project at the Family Café, held in Orlando. Lastly, SEDNET participated in the Second Annual Student Mental Health and Wellness Conference, held in Palm Beach County.
