To continue providing competitive wages, the athletic supplements were reviewed and increased. For example, a high
school athletic director’s supplement increased to $9,000, and the varsity football head coach’s supplement increased to
$7,000. Additional sports supplements were introduced to ensure students across all sports have a designated coach with
competitive compensation. A new annual supplement for school-based academic team leaders was introduced to assist
schools in staffing this role and to recognize the time and efforts of those teachers serving in this essential role.

Service Employees International Union and Association of Educational Secretaries and Office Professionals
The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and Association of Educational Secretaries and Office Professionals
(AESOP) employee groups received increases above national averages, demonstrating the District’s commitment to all
employees. These bargaining units received recurring base salary increases on a sliding scale between 4.50% to 6% based
on tenure in the District. All unit members received a one-time bonus of $1,500 or at least 3% of base salary, whichever was
        greater.

Additional highlights of these negotiations included supplemental increases for paraprofessionals and market adjustments
for mechanics. Paraprofessionals who work with medically complex students or are assigned to emotionally/behaviorally
disordered self-contained units received significant hourly increases to better recruit and retain highly qualified staff in
this critical function. The salary grades for mechanics were increased by two pay levels, increasing the District’s market
        competitiveness.

Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association
For FY24, the District agreed to unprecedented salary increases to retain and attract police officers. School police officers
received a 7% recurring base salary increase and a $1,000 supplemental increase to the sergeant’s special duty assignment
annual rate, making our School Police Department one of the regional leaders and the highest-paid school district police
        agencies in Florida.
