Professional Learning and eLearning Management System
The eLearning Management System (eLMS) streamlined the District’s course offerings, bringing them together in
one centralized location. This platform empowers instructors to establish a structured training framework, monitor
implementation, provide feedback, award incentive credit to participants, and plan for future training needs.
The District boasts 2,304 active eLearning-trained instructors across schools and departments. Additionally, 35,282 points
were made available for teacher recertification and non-instructional incentives through programs like the SEIU/FPSU
Incentive Award Program and the AESOP Educational Incentive Award Program.
Professional Learning Impact
• In FY24, the District’s eLearning and professional development initiatives offered comprehensive courses tailored
to enhance instructional, pedagogical, and leadership skills. With 2,292 instructional and pedagogical classes and 76
leadership classes, the District catered to a diverse range of educators, ensuring they were equipped with the latest
tools and strategies to excel in their roles.
• The impact of these efforts was profound, with 171,901 unique enrollments in instructional and pedagogical
classes and 2,717 unique enrollments in leadership classes. This demonstrated a solid commitment to continuous
improvement and growth among District educators.
• Moreover, the District extended its support to non-instructional staff, offering 492 non-instructional classes with
161,800 unique enrollments. This holistic approach to professional learning underscored the District’s dedication to
fostering excellence across all areas of operation.
• The District’s focus on building capacity within schools was evident, with 182 District-operated and 65 charter
schools benefiting from trained and supported professional learning teams. This investment in school-based
professional learning teams was a testament to the District's commitment to empowering educators and enhancing
the overall learning experience for students.
FY24 Compliance Monitoring Work
• Compliance with District and State mandates is paramount in the dynamic education landscape. In FY24, the
District’s eLearning Management took the helm, orchestrating the completion of mass enrollments and tracking
completion for all staff.
• The eLearning District Compliance Coursework in FY24 was a significant undertaking, encompassing 191 courses
spanning 11 titles. Each of these courses required mass enrollment for District staff. This comprehensive approach
was instrumental in ensuring all employees received the necessary training to meet regulatory requirements.
• The team implemented a new eLearning system to help teachers track the new State renewal requirements for
Reading and Leadership certification, demonstrating a commitment to supporting ongoing professional growth.
• Collaboration with the Departments of Enterprise Resource Planning and Certification was critical to the team’s
success. This partnership led to development of more efficient ways to track point distribution for recertification,
a significant step in streamlining administrative processes. To ensure the seamless functioning of the eLearning
platform, the team conducted daily upgrades and system maintenance, guaranteeing that staff could effectively utilize
the Learning Management System.
• In cases where staff received certificates after course closure, the team provided daily overrides for certification
completion, ensuring that all achievements were duly recognized.
Overall, FY24 was a transformative year for eLearning and professional growth in the District, characterized by
innovation, collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to excellence in education. It was a year marked by proactive
measures and innovative solutions, showcasing the District's unwavering commitment to excellence in education and
professional learning.
