        Operations Hiring Initiatives

During FY24, under the leadership of our Chief Operating Officer, the
Operations Division launched a community outreach initiative to ensure
that all departments in the Operations Division have the necessary
personnel and resources to succeed. This initiative was a resounding
success, significantly boosting interest in employment opportunities
within our District. The dedicated recruitment efforts led to the successful
onboarding of over 100 bus drivers. A total of 21 job fair events were
conducted across Palm Beach County, including Delray Beach, Riviera
Beach, and Belle Glade. Additionally, 12 in-house job fairs and other events Community job fair event at Forest Hill HS
were held at the Fulton-Holland Educational Services Center (FHESC),
focused on filling critical operation vacancies. These efforts collectively
attracted thousands of prospective job seekers, with approximately 880
individuals engaging with us directly at our in-house events.

The community presentations, a key component of our initiative, were
instrumental in addressing shortages in the Transportation Services,
Maintenance and Plant Operations, and School Food Service departments.
These presentations, which targeted community leaders and students at
technical and trade schools, effectively highlighted the various career
paths, benefits, and opportunities within these departments. As a result,
community leaders were motivated to promote the District to potential
applicants, significantly increasing interest and applications. Community job fair event at Palm Beach

Furthermore, outreach efforts have been enhanced by strategically placing
advertisements throughout the community. These advertisements increase
the visibility and awareness of available positions within the District.
Through these initiatives, the Operations Division engaged thousands of
individuals and garnered significant interest in employment opportunities
        within the organization.

The success of the community outreach initiative underscores the District’s
commitment to fostering community partnerships and implementing
innovative strategies to meet staffing needs. In the future, critical shortages
in key roles will continue to be addressed and new avenues will be explored
to attract prospective candidates. Bus stop shelter advertisements are
