MULTI-FACTOR

     AUTHENTICATION

     FOR ALL EMPLOYEES BY NOVEMBER

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is crucial for enhancing security in today’s
digital landscape. It requires users to provide multiple forms of verification
before gaining access to accounts or systems, such as something they
know (password), something they have (smartphone or hardware token),
and something they are (biometric data). This layered approach significantly
reduces the risk of unauthorized access, even if one factor is compromised.
MFA helps protect sensitive data, prevents identity theft, and reduces the
impact of phishing attacks. By adding an extra security layer, MFA ensures
that only authorized individuals can access critical information, making it a vital
     component in safeguarding digital assets.

The District is implementing MFA District-wide with a deadline of November 1,
2024. Any user can register now for MFA and start using it. IT Security highly
recommends that users enroll at their earliest convenience to ensure they
have a seamless integration into the new login methods. Users who run into
difficulties during enrollment are encouraged to contact the IT Service Desk at
561-242-4100 or via an eSupport ticket.

      ANNUAL IT SECURITY
     ANNUAL IT SECURITY

      AWARENESS TRAINING
     AWARENESS TRAINING

The District’s Annual Security Awareness training covers many topics, including
multi-factor authentication (MFA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The course can
be found in your “My Compliance Courses” in PeopleSoft eLearning.
Security Awareness training is essential for educating employees about the
threats and vulnerabilities in the digital world. This training equips staff with
the knowledge to recognize and respond to security risks, such as phishing
attacks, malware, and social engineering. By understanding best practices, like
creating strong passwords and identifying suspicious emails, employees can
act as the first line of defense against cyber threats. Regular training ensures
that everyone remains vigilant and up-to-date on the latest security protocols,
reducing the likelihood of breaches and protecting sensitive organizational data.
Ultimately, IT Security Awareness fosters an organization’s culture of security
     and resilience.
