In Memoriam
Jerry Kuczynski
Jerry Kuczynski passed away on August 11, 2021 due to complications from
Covid-19. Jerry worked on the ERP Technical Support team within the IT
Enterprise Applications Department for 14 years. Jerry was instrumental in
supporting many areas of PeopleSoft including Payroll, DOE Staff Reporting,
One Giving Campaign, and Teacher Evaluations. It seemed Jerry was
available 24/7; he was at the District office by 5am every day and responded
to questions until 9pm. Jerry was well known for the love of his wife, their
four children, and five grandchildren as well as his great appreciation for golf,
hockey, and swimming.
Jerry was a bright, booming soul whose enthusiasm was contagious and zeal
for life was unmistakable. Jerry was also described as dependable and a can-
do-it guy with a hearty laugh. Jerry’s generous nature was well-known, as he
was tireless in District fundraising throughout the years to provide for needy
families at the holidays.
For those who worked with Jerry day in and day out, some of the fondest
memories are of the garage sale treasures he would typically bring in on any
given Monday morning - items that he had carefully selected for a specific co-
worker based on their likes.
Jerry will be tremendously missed by his family, his co-workers and all who
knew him. Please keep Jerry and his family in your prayers. May his kind soul
rest in peace.
Annmarie Walsh
Annmarie Walsh, retired from the District in July 2021, regrettably passed
away on September 20, 2021. Annmarie worked in the Records Management
section of IT Enterprise Applications for several years. Prior to that, she
worked in the FTE & Student Reporting Department, the ESE Department, and
Berkshire Elementary. Annmarie was well known throughout the District for
her ever present smile, her sense of humor, her great love for her children and
grandchildren, and, of course, her love of the New England Patriots and Tom
Brady.
Here is a brief eulogy excerpt from Annmarie’s grandson, Brandon… “My
grandmother was like no other… she loved us all, she loved us big, and we felt
it… She had the BEST personality. Everywhere she went, she made a friend, or
met someone new… She LOVED to laugh and make people laugh. You could
hear her laugh from rooms away. It wasn’t difficult to make her laugh… She
laughed at funerals, she laughed in church. She just laughed. She was a kid
at heart.”
RIP Annmarie. You are missed by many.
