In FY23, the District launched a new Choice application and lottery management system. This new platform provides more
effective and efficient ways for parents to apply for Choice programs, resulting in a higher number of applicants for the FY24
school year as described in Table 2.

        Annual Showcase of Schools
The Annual Showcase of Schools took place at the South Florida Fairgrounds on
October 20, 2022. It was the first time this event had taken place since 2019. Parents
and students had the opportunity to learn about all of the awesome opportunities
offered in Palm Beach County District schools and see firsthand why the District is
        “Your Best Choice.”
        FY22 Industry Certification Data*
The District continues to be a leader across Florida for students earning industry
recognized credentials. Many of the industry credentials earned by students lead to
Bright Futures Scholarships as well as college credits.
In the FY22 school year, nearly 10,000 industry certifications and digital tools were
earned by Palm Beach County students. Many of these industry certifications (e.g.,
Pharmacy Technician, EKG Technician, Python, JavaScript, Automotive Service
Excellence (ASE), and AutoCAD) allow students to enter the workforce directly
after high school into high skill and high wage jobs.

*Industry certification data is lagging data.
