EDUCATE | AFFIRM | INSPIRE 125STUDENT SUPPORT FOR MENTAL HEALTH AND TRAUMA-INFORMED PRACTICESThe Behavioral and Mental Health Framework guides District schools in aligning resources to support student well-being. Aligned with strategic plan initiative C.2a, the School Resource Mapping and Quality Assessment Tool (SRMQAT) is a structured approach that leverages the expertise of school counselors, psychologists, and behavioral health staff. This coordination ensures comprehensive student support and targeted professional learning across the District. Expanded Access to Mental Health SupportDuring FY26, the District expanded both school and community-based mental health infrastructure. Key efforts included establishing contracts for co-located services, aligning staff and programs, and forming school mental health teams to strengthen support systems.To streamline access and monitoring, the Caring First portal serves as a centralized hub for families to access both internal and external resources. Formal agreements with 31 partner agencies provide tiered behavioral health services. Staff use standardized referral documentation in accordance with the Caring First User%u2019s Guide, enabling accurate tracking and ensuring continuity of care. In FY26, agency leaders also participated in professional learning communities to strengthen collaboration and program effectiveness.School-Based (Co-located) Mental Health ServicesOver the course of FY26, a network of 13 partner agencies provided free individual counseling at 116 school sites. Services were delivered during school hours, with parental or guardian consent, and did not require a medical diagnosis.FY26 data showed strong performance, with 98% of school leaders reporting satisfaction with access to care and administrative support.
