156 SUPERINTENDENT ANNUAL REPORTThe Foundations of Management series prioritizes core practices for people-centered leadership. In response to participant feedback, an in-person Conflict Management session has been introduced to help leaders navigate challenging conversations. The department also provided diverse learning opportunities for leaders at all career stages, including:%u2022 Supporting the New Supervisor (eLearning series).%u2022 CLEAR Coaching (Contract, Listen, Explore, Action, Review).By prioritizing access to these resources, employees had the opportunity to gain skills and receive the support needed for professional success.ENHANCING TRANSPORTATION WORKPLACE CULTUREThe Department of Transportation Services advanced the District%u2019s goal of creating a supportive, high-performing workplace by prioritizing key investments in infrastructure, professional learning, employee recognition, and community-building. During FY26, these efforts met staff operational needs while ensuring student safety across the District. Infrastructure and Fleet Enhancements%u2022 Redesigning the East Facility Dispatch improved customer service for bus drivers and attendants.%u2022 Updated workstations, new computers, and new flooring were installed in the drivers%u2019 lounge to improve the workspace.%u2022 This year, 69 new school buses were acquired, with an additional 60 buses ordered to maintain a safe and modern fleet.Professional Learning and Recognition%u2022 Employees participated in comprehensive training sessions in August and February.%u2022 Training modules covered updated safety protocols, operational best practices, and skill development.%u2022 The reinstatement of the Bus Driver and Bus Attendant of the Year Awards highlighted individual excellence.%u2022 Plaques were presented to staff with 40 or more years of service to recognize their long-term dedication to the District.Community BuildingIn May, the department hosted a Family Fun Day. The event brought employees and their families together to celebrate achievements and strengthen team unity.A dedicated school bus driver is recognized by transportation leadership.
