EDUCATE | AFFIRM | INSPIRE 23Instructor guides a student in welding practice.WORKFORCE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GRADUATING SENIORSThe Department of Adult & Community Education expanded scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors to support a direct transition into post-secondary career training programs at the District%u2019s technical education centers and schools. Funding for these scholarships came from the Pathfinders Franklin Grant and contributions from community partners and supporters committed to student success.The program assists seniors in finding a clear pathway to college or career training. Scholarship funds reduce financial barriers by covering specific training-related costs, including tuition, books, and certification fees. A review committee evaluates applications and selects recipients based on established criteria. Financial assistance strengthens partnerships among schools, community organizations, and donors.
