Through continuous program evaluation, the department maintains and expands accreditation across its technical education centers. The centers currently hold accreditation from the Council on Occupational Education. Construction education sites adhere to standards established by the National Center for Construction Education and Research. These organizations guide instructional practices and enhance the credibility of the department%u2019s programs.Adult and Community EducationThe Department of Adult & Community Education offers a wide range of educational opportunities for lifelong learning and workforce development. These offerings help individuals pursue pathways to employment, further education, and personal growth. Opportunities include:%u2022 Adult basic education and GED preparation%u2022 English language learning%u2022 Career certificate programs%u2022 Career exploration programs for high school seniors%u2022 Community interest coursesSpecific career exploration programs, such as %u201cAre You Wired to Be an Electrician?%u201d, %u201cCan You Dig It?%u201d, and %u201cLicense to Chill%u201d provide high school students with hands-on exposure to the skilled trades.
