Dress Code
As ambassadors of the Transportation Department, we must present ourselves in a professional
manner at all times. Whenever you are on the clock, drivers and attendants are required to follow
the uniform dress code established by the Transportation Department (including shoes that have
closed toe and closed heel for your personal safety).
Also for your own safety, it is strongly suggested that jewelry not be worn, especially earrings and
necklaces. They offer an opportunity for children to pull and tug at them, and they can get caught
in a student’s hair, clothing, wheelchair, etc.
Employees must follow the uniform dress code established by the Transportation Services
Department. Uniforms must be clean, properly fitted and worn as designed on school days. Issued
Friday shirts and Union shirts may be worn on Friday’s only.
Proper shoes must be driving shoes or athletic shoes with closed toe and heel, be flat or low-
heeled, and be secured to your feet.
Shoes and uniform must be worn at the time that you clock in and for the entire time that you
are on the clock.
New employees that have not been issued uniforms are to wear white collared shirts, black slacks
or shorts and proper shoes.
Everyone is expected to be well-groomed and wear clean clothing, free of holes, tears, or other
signs of wear.
Clothing with offensive or inappropriate designs or stamps are not allowed.
Clothing should not be too revealing.
Clothing and grooming styles dictated by religion or ethnicity are exempt.
School Board ID badges must be worn in a mannerism for all to see.
