        School Health Services Program Management
Health Services is a component of our “Coordinated School Health Program” and designed to provide
emergency care for illness or injury, prevent and control communicable disease and other health problems,
and promote a safe school environment.
           • The provision of these health services is achieved through collaboration between the Health Care District
of Palm Beach County (HCD), the Florida Department of Health Palm Beach County (FHPBC) and The
School District of Palm Beach County (SDPBC).

           • All partners play an integral role in the delivery of basic health care to our students on a daily basis. These
nursing interventions allowed an average of over 83.4% of the students receiving care to return to the
            classroom during FY21.

        School Nurse Program*

Our school health collaboration with these partners placed a school nurse in every regular school including
nursing service support for the alternative, charter schools and our Exceptional Student Education (ESE)
program. The primary goal of this program is to advance the well-being, academic success, and life-long
        achievement of all students.
