Blood Drives Hosted in the District in FY22
A lesson in saving lives was taught throughout the school year. Students and staff from the District boarded
OneBlood’s signature Big Red Bus to help save lives and donated 2,600 units of blood. Each donation can help
save up to three people, which means the District actually helped 7,800 patients with their collaboration.
There were a total of 25 high school campuses, and the District Headquarters (Fulton-Holland Educational
Services Center) that supported blood donation during the 2021-2022 school year with a total of 45 Blood
Drives.
OneBlood, Inc. had an opportunity to honor their top ‘Exemplary Blood Drive Performances‘ for FY22 at the
District’s Wellness Promotion Task Force meeting on June 7, 2022. The following were the top awardees:
Top School Award
* Park Vista High School
Top Committee Award
* Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts
