COMMUNITY
• First United Methodist Church Jupiter-Tequesta is a community outreach program supported by
First UMC of Jupiter-Tequesta members designed to help elementary schools in the Town of Jupiter. For
FY22, they worked with three (3) elementary schools by providing nutritious food bags to 139 students.
• Living Hungry ‘Not One Hungry Homeless Students’ not only provided weekend meals at 17 of our
schools but they delivered a variety of additional resources to our homeless students including hygiene
kits, socks, comfort packs, school supplies, backpacks, gift cards, dinner vouchers, bus passes, FL State
ID and more.
SDPBC Hunger Relief Program Participation Total for FY22:
• 78 - Backpack/Food Bag Programs (Students Served - 5,336)
• 4 - Food Pantry Programs
• 14 - Cities with Programs throughout SDPBC
• 10 - Summer Backpack/Food Bag Programs (as of 6/13/2022)
The goal of the District’s Hunger Relief Collaboration Team (HRCT) is to establish a supportive system to assist
schools with food insecurity issues in our community by working with local organizations who are looking to
provide backpacks, food pantries and/or any other food distribution programs to support our students and
families. With this important goal in mind, the HRCT has worked diligently to support hunger relief in schools
the past five years.
SPECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS…
