Five Star Award
The Five Star Award designates and recognizes schools that have total community involvement. The School
District of Palm Beach County is proud to celebrate the 43 schools that completed the requirements to earn
a Five Star Award for FY22 - an increase of 11 schools from FY21. In order to earn the Five Star Award, schools
had to meet the following criteria: Family Involvement, Voluntarism, School Advisory Councils, Student
Community Service, and Business Partnerships. The criteria set out in each area are reasonable, although
some are tougher than others. However, all requirements set high expectations for exemplary achievement.
Our “A” rated school District recognizes the importance of this program and how community involvement
benefits students and their success. The Five Star School Award designation showcased the value the school
places on community involvement and the school’s commitment. It is a prestigious distinction that is highly
desirable in the community and in all school districts throughout the state of Florida.
