District Wellness...
Message from Leadership
“As a School District, the past year has been a time to grow and reconnect. Our
District, with the help of the Wellness Promotion Task Force, has truly made this a
time to shine and flourish. This past year our students returned from unexpected
virtual and remote education to full-time, in-class education. They have shown
their resiliency in big ways and continue to strive and flourish in our post-
pandemic world to be the best that they can be. Our Wellness Promotion Task
Force supports the whole student, our families, and our staff. Together we have
made this past year a year to shine and be proud.”
Keith Oswald
Chief of Equity and Wellness
“A healthy lifestyle has a positive impact on the lives of our students, staff and
families. That positive impact will last a lifetime. I’m proud to be a part of an
organization that recognizes value in Wellness! By emphasizing and embracing
Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child culture, we can elevate our entire
community. I fully support and look forward to continuing to participate in our
wellness program.”
Edward Tierney
Deputy Superintendent
Chief of Schools
“In this stress-filled world, we must learn to recognize the signs in ourselves to be
able to identify when stress is affecting us. It is important that we find healthy
ways and be sure to take the time to decompress. After all, we are no good to
anyone else if we are not good to ourselves.”
Glenda Sheffield, Ed. D.
Chief Academic Officer
“As a District, we value and invest in creating a culture of lifelong wellness practices
for all our students and staff. Congratulations to the Wellness Promotion Task
Force and their efforts to affirm, inspire, create, and maintain environments that
support each person’s healthy lifestyle choices.”
