                                    122 FY25 Wellness Promotion Policy (WPP) Annual Report Back to MenuCommunity InvolvementStaff and Community OutreachThe Welcome Center continued to strengthen partnerships and community engagement initiatives designed to support multilingual and multicultural families across Palm Beach County. Working in collaboration with district departments, staff provided assistance during key school-year transitions, including kindergarten registration, middle-to-high school promotion, and graduation preparation%u2014ensuring families had the tools, resources, and guidance needed for each stage of their child%u2019s educational journey.The team also organized and facilitated large-scale events, most notably the Back-to-School Resource Fair, which featured more than 30 community vendors, along with food distribution, health screenings, and school supply and backpack giveaways. These efforts demonstrated the District%u2019s commitment to equitable access, family readiness, and community partnership.Throughout FY25, the Welcome Center served as a vital hub for the District%u2019s multilingual and multicultural community%u2014expanding outreach, enhancing services, and building stronger relationships between schools, families, and the wider community. Looking ahead, they remain committed to ensuring families are supported, informed, and empowered to succeed in District schools.In FY25, the Department of Multicultural Education%u2019s Welcome Center, in partnership with the Wellness Promotion Task Force, had the privilege of collaborating with community organizations dedicated to promoting the health, wellness, and success of students and families.Two partners, Feeding South Florida and the American Heart Association, demonstrated exceptional leadership and compassion, making a tangible impact across our school communities.Feeding South Florida (FSF) FSF has been a cornerstone partner in addressing food insecurity and uplifting families throughout Palm Beach County. Their ongoing collaboration directly supported our Welcome Center%u2019s mission to meet families%u2019 most essential needs:%u25cf 1,116 individuals served during the BACK TO SCHOOL Beyond Limits School Year 2024-2025 through food distribution and support services.%u25cf 347 households supported throughout the year via the on-site Welcome Center Weekly Food Distribution Program.American Heart Association (AHA)The AHA continues to be a leader in promoting community health and wellness. In FY25, their generosity helped extend that mission to families served by the Welcome Center. Through a $2,000 donation, the organization directly supported the Welcome Center Weekly Food Distribution Program, enabling us to provide critical food assistance to families during the registration process and beyond. Their commitment has helped create a welcoming and supportive environment where every child can begin the school year healthy, nourished, and ready to learn.Honoring Our Community Champions
