                                     125Community InvolvementFeeding DreamsFeeding Dreams (formerly Pan-Florida Challenge) expanded its Family Weekend Backpack Program by providing food bags to students ahead of major school breaks: 1,248 students before Thanksgiving Break, 1,148 students before Winter Break, and 1,472 students before Spring Break.Palm Beach County Food BankFor Pre-Thanksgiving Break, the Food Bank distributed 1,860 extra food bags to 17 schools, in addition to 4,032weekly bags. During Pre-Winter Break, families received one-time food boxes to meet immediate needs, along with information about local food pantries. For Pre-Spring Break, 1,872 students at 18 schools received extra food bags, alongside 4,080 weekly bags. In summary, these efforts helped reduce food insecurity and supported the well-being of students and families during key school breaks. The District%u2019s continued collaboration with local Hunger Relief agencies reflects a strong commitment to ensuring access to nutritious meals throughout the year, building on the foundation provided by the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which offers breakfast and lunch at no cost to all students.To address food insecurity during Pre-Thanksgiving, Pre-Winter, and Pre-Spring Breaks, the School Food Service (SFS) Department collaborated with the following local nonprofit organizations to help alleviate hunger challenges and support students and their families.Bridging the Gap Food Distributions
