121The Department of Exceptional Student Education (ESE) leverages Parent University as a key resource to support families of students with disabilities. Through this initiative, parents receive guidance to better understand individualized education plans, their legal rights, and effective strategies for collaborating with teachers and school administrators.The primary goal of Parent University is to empower and educate parents by providing practical information and tools that promote student success. Training topics include special education laws, advocacy skills, effective collaboration, and strategies to support students%u2019 behavioral and emotional needs. Weekly workshops are offered in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole to ensure accessibility for diverse families.In FY25, in collaboration with the Welcome Center, more than 50 engagement opportunities were provided to support families through targeted community outreach and awareness initiatives.Exceptional Student Education Parent UniversityFamily Engagement
