Media Center Upgrades

The District’s high school media centers are undergoing a significant transformation to better support modern learning
styles. The old traditional media centers are being transformed into spaces more conducive to how our students learn
and interact in today’s world. The design focuses on e-learning, collaboration, and break-out study rooms. Improvements
also include new energy-efficient lighting, flooring, and paint. The new spaces are outfitted with a mix of both casual and
traditional furniture that allows for multiple uses, including testing. Wi-Fi is provided throughout each media center, and
device charging stations are strategically located for convenience. Select media centers include a student lounge area with
a coffee bar to foster collaboration and community.

Choice lottery system. This system provided the opportunity for over 37,000 students to apply for Choice and Career
