These credentials allow students to enter the workforce, in many cases, immediately after high school, with high wages and
opportunities for long-term career growth. In the FY23 school year, Palm Beach County students earned approximately
10,000 industry certifications and Digital Tool Certificates.

Strengthen Career Pathways for Post-Secondary Students and
        Adults

The Department of Adult and Community Education participated in multiple high school career fairs providing pathways
to post-secondary programming offered through Adult Education. Scholarships were awarded to 41 graduating seniors to
continue their education in a trade, as office assistants, CDL truck drivers, or in the medical program. Grant funding will
assist trade program graduates with a brand-new set of tools to begin their work in the trades. The department continues
to explore options that serve high school students with community programs like “Are You Wired to be an Electrician?” and
“Can You Dig It?”, an underground utilities program. The credit recovery program continues to boost graduation rates by
assisting high school students in completing courses necessary for graduation.

        High School Graduation

In FY23, the District’s graduation rate* for District-operated schools reached 94% (90.5% when including charter schools).
Graduation rates have improved or remained stable for each subgroup since FY19 (graduation rates were inflated in FY20
and FY21 due to COVID-19 assessment waivers and are not comparable).
