SITV Data Center:
Transitioned to a newly-constructed
data center at SITV, allowing for
improved Business Continuity.
As technology changes, so does the backend infrastructure to support
all the changes. The District previously operated out of two data centers,
one in Palm Beach County and one in Tallahassee. Additionally, a small
room also evolved into a makeshift server room to help accommodate the
ever increasing demands for technology. Needless to say, the District has
outgrown the small room and a project for a new fully functioning data center
has evolved. The new data center was built to handle business continuity
of internet traffic and back-end infrastructure. The new data center has the
latest power and cooling technologies to ensure all equipment is performing
at optimal levels. Now, the District operates two Data Centers in Palm
Beach County and one in Tallahassee. IT would like to thank all the Facilities
Services staff that helped to make this happen, we truly appreciate all the
efforts to support for our students and teachers.
