District Accreditation the Pursuit of Excellence

The School District of Palm Beach County continues to hold this most prestigious full system
“Accredited” status since 2018. The “Road to Accreditation” is a journey that the District now
experiences on a recurring six-year cycle.

In FY23, the District will again seek system accreditation renewal through Cognia (formerly known as
AdvancED) on behalf of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Achievement
and School Improvement (SACS CASI). The process ensures the District’s framework for academic
excellence is measurable and meaningful for all students’ improvement. Accreditation aims to
evaluate, verify, and improve the institution’s quality.
