FY22 Department of Recruitment and Retention accomplishments include:
           • The Recruitment and Retention Department is successfully into the fifth year of the HR
Partners Program, providing a one-stop resource to meet the human capital needs of schools.
HR Partners have been a resource to increase the capacity of school principals by providing
support in the recruitment and selection of highly effective teachers.
           • Hired 2,053 teachers.
           • Maintained an instructional vacancy rate of 3% throughout the school year.
           • Facilitated the hiring of 2,946 non-instructional employees.
           • Facilitated the hiring of 293 administrators.
           • Processed 8,928 new hires and transfers for the District.
           • The Department of Recruitment and Retention Employee Orientation online process continues
to expedite the hiring process for all employees.
           • Through collaboration with ERP, we created a Human Capital Management Dashboard (HCM).
This HCM Dashboard is used to drive HR Partner data-driven analytics sessions that inform
continuous talent management guidance efforts with schools. Additionally, the Dashboard is
used by HR technicians to track the hiring process and provide the best customer service
experience to all schools and departments.
           • Through collaboration with School Police, ERP, and a board-approved contract, new hires
can now complete the fingerprint part of the hiring process anywhere in the country at any
available Fieldprint location. In addition, the fingerprinting service is offered at no cost to new
              District hires.

        Recruitment Highlights

           • Teach Palm Beach held several self-sponsored recruitment fairs: An in-person job fair on March
10, 2022, for all high-needs schools. The first virtual District-wide job fair for schools was on
March 24, 2022, and June 14, 2022. A hybrid Grand Hiring Event for all District schools and
departments. These events helped to fill over 150 vacancies.
           • Department of Recruitment and Retention partnered with Florida Atlantic University to provide
affordable housing exclusively for NYU Teacher Residency Program (TRP) and FAMU interns
at their Jupiter campus. For NYU-TRP interns, this is close to John F. Kennedy MS and Palm
Beach Lakes HS, where they will complete their residency. This partnership with FAU reflects
how we market and attract talent to our District.

           • The department curated a mailing list with over 1,800 potential instructional candidates who
showed an interest in working with the SDPBC. Upon principal request, HR created fliers with
current school job openings and sent them to those on the mailing list.
           • The department launched a successful marketing and social media campaign with the assistance
of the Communications Department. Social media, radio, and news campaigns have assisted in
              all recruitment efforts.
           • To keep up with the fast-changing recruitment environment, the Department of Recruitment
and Retention acquired an online recruitment and job fair platform: Career Fair Plus, to host
various recruitment events in person, virtually, or both. It has successfully hosted three major
              hiring events for the District.
           • The Department of Recruitment and Retention began implementing the board-approved
contract with Educational Partners International (EPI) with a hiring event on March 1, 2022.
Teachers from all over the world were interviewed and considered for teaching positions in
District-operated schools. Forty-two international visiting teachers will be joining the teaching
staff of 20 schools. Their visas will allow them to teach at the schools for at least three years.
