Aligned with the %u201cPathways to Possibilities: My Choice, My Future%u201d vision, Parent University empowers parents and guardians to turn that promise into reality. This initiative equips families with the knowledge to become active partners in education by bridging the gap between the classroom and home. In FY26, the Department of Exceptional Student Education (ESE) expanded the program to offer free workshops and support services, with sessions available in multiple languages. These workshops covered various topics, including:%u2022 Navigating the K-12 ExperienceFamilies received guidance from the department on understanding Individualized Education Programs and communicating with school staff.%u2022 Interpersonal SkillsWorkshops equipped attendees with strategies to support mental health and resilience at home.%u2022 ESE SupportThe program offered one-on-one assistance and specialized resources for caregivers.Information and inspiration are at the center of the Parent University mission, giving families the confidence to navigate educational paths. The department remains dedicated to building collaboration to ensure every Palm Beach County family is supported and ready to learn.
