The District’s first Green Webinar Series
In October of 2020, ECS hosted the District’s first Green Webinar Series for teachers, featured expert
presenters on green topics during a week-long training attended by approximately 60 teachers. ECS shifted
to offering online sustainability resources in support of Distance Learning goals. The Green Webinar Series
provided an opportunity to connect with teachers during the pandemic and offer environmentally themed
professional development. Topics included: water conservation, FL safe routes to school program, K-12
energy kits, recycling and an interactive workshop called, Sustainability in the Remote Classroom by EcoRise.
Each webinar was approved for in-service points.
