        GENYOUth Virtual Event
On Friday, June 4, 2021, SFS Department in partnership with the GENYOUth organization hosted a virtual
Grab-and-Go Breakfast Cart celebration event at Belvedere Elementary to promote the importance of school
breakfast and the nutritious benefits of drinking milk.
The purpose of the event was to celebrate the partnership between SFS and GENYOUth in helping to place
34 mobile feeding carts in our schools and to thank GENYOUth’s corporate sponsors, Chevron, and Sunshine
Gasoline as well as the Dairy Council of Florida division of the Florida Dairy Farmers. The highlight of the
event was a virtual question and answer session with NFL celebrity Jerome Baker of the Miami Dolphins which
included a celebratory “milk drink toast” with all the students.
As a special gift, GENYOUth also presented Principal Amy Lopez with a $2,500 Donors Choose gift card from
Chevron and Sunshine Gasoline, as well as an additional $2,500 gift card to be used by SFS Department.
Students also participated in a raffle for NFL branded prizes provided by the Dairy Council of Florida, which
included backpacks, t-shirts, water bottles and other fun items.
