Continuous investment in development ensures operational excellence while unlocking exciting pathways for employee advancement.Professional Development FY25 began with a comprehensive in-service training focused on strategic planning and goal setting. This foundational training set the stage for a year of continuous learning and skill enhancement.This year also marked the launch of the SFS Leadership Academy, an initiative designed to provide ongoing professional development for Central Office staff, School Food Service Managers, and Production Assistants. The program has been well received, with a total participation of 230 attendees. Monthly sessions covered a range of topics, including:%u2022 Resume writing and interview skills%u2022 Personal finance%u2022 Excel proficiency%u2022 Leadership versus management%u2022 Strategies for leading under pressureManager Intern Training ProgramSFS conducted two intensive 16-week Manager Intern Training sessions annually, designed to prepare participants to step into a leadership role. The program blends classroom instruction%u2014covering crucial topics like menu planning, safety/sanitation, ordering, and staffing%u2014with hands-on experience. Interns rotate through various school sites, working side-by-side with seasoned training SFS Managers to master day-to-day operations.
