This project addressed the critical issue of food insecurity by seeking to understand the barriers preventing students from taking advantage of free, nutritious school meals.Students were encouraged to complete a brief survey, which garnered nearly 15,000 responses. The Fighting Hunger Committee analyzed this data to identify crucial feedback and drive meaningful changes aimed at boosting meal participation District-wide. Due to its significant success, the initiative was approved to continue in FY26 with an updated survey and the possibility of implementing student focus groups to delve deeper into the survey results.FIGHTINGHUNGER ONE BITE AT A TIME!For Students, By StudentsYour Chance to Make ChangeClick on theFighting Hunger TileIn Your Student Portal!Celebrating Our StaffThe Manager of the Year award recognizes our most exceptional School Food Service Managers.
