Videos include: An 11-hour Tier 3 self-paced online training offered through the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).o %u201cSupporting the Whole Child through Trauma-Informed Practices: Understanding Trauma and its Impact on the Brain%u201do %u201cTrauma-Informed Teaching Strategies and Activities%u201do %u201cReducing the Impact of Secondary Traumatic Stress%u201do %u201cTrauma-Sensitive Leadership%u201d%u25cf A Trauma-Informed District Resources Tile was created to provide trauma-informed resources through the Employee Portal. Tabs include Trauma 101, School Leaders, Teachers/Student Support, and Employee Wellness. Resources include videos, info-graphics, webinars, and other tools that support the implementation of trauma-informed practices in schools.%u25cf The book series %u201cTrauma-Sensitive Leadership - Creating a Safe and Predictable School and Classroom Environment%u201d and %u201cTrauma-Sensitive Instruction - Creating a Safe and Predictable Classroom Environment%u201d by John F. Eller and Tom Hierck were purchased and distributed to every school in the District.o A %u201cTrauma-Informed Book Series Overview Video%u201d was recorded and made available on the Leader tab of the Trauma-Informed District Resource tile.%u25cf The School District of Palm Beach County Trauma-Informed Care Collaborativeo This collaborative of over 75 members met three times this school year to discuss universal trauma-informed care practices in the District. o Topics included universal trauma-informed practices, trauma-informed data collection and review, trauma-informed problem-solving models, Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.%u25cf Dissemination of Worko Presented at the Advancing Student Mental Health in School Conference %u0082 Shared 2022-2027 Strategic Plan Initiative (C.2b - Implement practices to recognize and better support students who have experienced trauma in their lives) workgroup%u2019s experiences and resources that supported their various projects.%u008a Projects included:9 District Trauma-Informed Care Collaborative9 Various trauma-informed care professional development sessions for schools and district staff 9 Various psychoeducational sessions for students and families9 Virtual hub where staff can access trauma-informed resources
