The official 5-hour online certification training is available through the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.%u25cf This overview training was created and presented as virtual professional development for the School Behavioral Health Professionals (SBHP). All SBHP were then encouraged to complete the online certification course.%u25cf The overview training was also recorded and is currently available on the Professional Development tab of the Department of Behavioral and Mental Health portal tile.Trauma-Informed Care Training and Support %u25cf %u201cTrauma-Informed Teaching Strategies and Activities%u201d was presented in person at TeacherFest, a District elementary school, the 11th Annual Student Mental Health and Wellness Conference, and a virtual professional development for the School Behavioral Health Professionals.o Over 218 participants attended.o 99% reported the training to be helpful and a good use of time and 98% would recommend this session to others. 100% report increased trauma awareness and sensitivity to students served on their campus.
