Historical Significance Preservation

Facilities Management recognizes the value and importance of acknowledging
and conveying our understanding of the past to future generations. We strive
to provide safe, secure, and positive learning environments while enhancing
and rehabilitating our historically significant facilities.

Historic Roosevelt High School (Roosevelt Full Service Adult
        Education Center)
This facility’s revitalization has started and will conclude with the construction
of a new adult education building and the renovation of the technical lab Historic Roosevelt HS gymnasium
building. Thanks to the African-American Cultural and Historical Grant from rehabilitation
the Florida Department of State, the historic gymnasium will be rehabilitated
to its vibrant place as a community gathering center. The gymnasium will
be able to entertain large groups for stage performances, basketball games,
and other celebrations. The design was completed, and all design costs were
        reimbursed from the State grant.

Historic Carver High School (Delray Full Service Adult Education
        Center)
The campus underwent the first phase of renovations and construction of
a new adult education building. The historic gymnasium was rehabilitated
inside and outside to provide several meeting and training rooms, a historic
artifact display space, and ample space to accommodate stage performances
and large group gatherings. The gymnasium rehabilitation was completed in
spring, 2024. A second phase of renovations for two historically significant
buildings is commencing the design and development process. Historic Carver HS preserved gymnasium
