Aesthetic Campus Upgrades
Throughout FY24, Maintenance and Plant Operations focused on aesthetic projects across the District to elevate our
educational spaces' visual appeal and atmosphere.
Exterior Enhancements: The department implemented comprehensive waterproofing treatments to protect campus
buildings from moisture and structural damage. Before applying the treatments, the buildings were pressure washed to
restore the vibrancy of the exteriors. Fresh coats of paint were carefully chosen for their durability and welcoming aesthetics,
enhancing curb appeal and leaving a lasting impression.
Interior Revitalization: Interior spaces were assessed for maintenance needs, repairs were made to ensure safe and
comfortable learning environments, and classrooms and common areas were freshly painted.
These projects are a testament to the District’s unwavering commitment to creating inclusive and inspiring educational
environments. By celebrating diversity and promoting creativity, these efforts instill a sense of pride and belonging within
the school community, making each member feel valued and integral to the shared educational journey.

Furniture Replacement
The Operations Division continued the furniture replacement program established by the 2016 Penny Sales Tax Referendum,
which provided funding for classroom furniture. This program aims to improve the learning environment for students and
teachers by replacing worn-out and damaged furniture in our classrooms. During FY24, the program addressed the needs
of 20 schools, allocating over $4 million toward new classroom furniture.
