NEW DISTRICT BULLETINS

PROCESS IMPLEMENTED

Writing, routing, obtaining approval, and distribution of District bulletins
will never be the same! The IT Enterprise Applications Design and
Development team worked closely with District bulletin managers to
design a custom-developed web application that completely replaces
the manual and hard copy process of creating and managing District
Bulletin bulletins. The application will soon be available to all departments that
create bulletins. Each step in the process is streamlined and completely
digital, making it easier and faster to prepare bulletins and disseminate
information to schools.

LEAVE / TDE

FORM REPLACEMENT

The long-standing PBSD 0032 Leaves/TDE Request form has been retired
and replaced with the Absence Management process in PeopleSoft. As the
PeopleSoft process covers sick, annual, and bereavement leave but not TDEs
(Temporary Duty Elsewhere), a new TDE only PBSD form is available.
It is PBSD 2556.

Several emails to Payroll Contacts and a District bulletin (including FAQs)
were distributed explaining this change. The bulletin is available HERE.

DISTRICT ACCREDITATION PROCESS

EASED WITH CUSTOM APPLICATION

Accreditation is a process that holds institutions accountable for improvement
and for having a growth mindset for the organization. It is a form of quality
control, ensuring that institutions satisfy certain standards. Institutions reflect
and collaborate to identify evidence that demonstrates their strengths and
weaknesses, allowing for schools to focus on continuous improvement and
making the positive changes needed towards ensuring students are at the
heart of all initiatives and decisions.

In order to centralize and streamline the process of gathering all related
evidence for Cognia (our accrediting organization) to evaluate, the IT
Enterprise Applications Design and Development team designed and built a
user-friendly web application. The application allows the District Accreditation
Steering Committee members and school staff to securely upload documents,
images, and URLs to the system, rate the relevant evidence, and prepare
them for Cognia’s review.
