SCHOOL TECH TRAINING
AND RESOURCES AVAILABLE
A NEW SCHOOL YEAR
Technology has become an integral part of our educational system. Our
School District has invested millions in new technology over the years,
T making it imperative for us to stay up-to-date and offer the best support to
our end users.
AR
A SUCCESSFUL ST
The Technical Operations Department, in collaboration with subject matter
experts from IT Enterprise Applications, offers training workshops throughout
the school year and recommends School Technicians attend at least one
session every year to keep up with technological changes. In training, both
new and tenured School Techs are exposed to a wide variety of hardware and
software topics including, but not limited to:
• District Policies
• Portal Resources
• eSupport and Ivanti
• Active Directory
• Networking and Telephones
• Printers and Copiers
• Web Content Filters
• Site Technician Troubleshooting and Solutions
This training has evolved over the years. We are now more focused on
catering the learning opportunities through employee feedback, so technicians
can better address daily challenges. With that feedback in mind, we provide
relevant and practical training opportunities that School Techs can digest and
apply to their jobs instantly. The new workshop-style learning environment
empowers ITSAs and STSTs to explore and learn through discovery and
practice while instructors act as mentors and coaches.
Eight class credits are offered to ITSAs and STSTs who attend these
workshops and complete the requirements. Additional technology resources /
sites include:
• Student Device Management
• Technology Home Page
• Instructional Applications Support
• Chrome Device Technical Resources
• SMART Interactive Displays
• Apple Support
• Destiny Resource Manager
