Raptor Emergency Management

& Reunification Drills

The School Police Department, with the IT Division’s
technical and project management assistance,
is implementing the Emergency Management
Module of Raptor. Raptor is the software platform
schools have used for years for school visitor
management. Raptor’s Emergency Management
Module in their desktop software and their Raptor
Alert native mobile app includes:

Accountability: Teachers mark themselves and
each of their students as Safe, Missing, Injured,
or Absent during an emergency or other incident.
This step keeps school and District administrators
and law enforcement constantly apprised of each
student’s and employee’s location and status.

Reunification: The physical and electronic
“reunification” of students with their parent(s) or
guardian(s) after an emergency or other incident.
Reunification drills will be conducted in 6 schools
throughout February with all principals and their
designee(s) invited to attend.
